I miss the skyline, the symbol of this great city. I agree to reconstruction and a memorial anything less will be a shame. Bring it back.

I am proud to become a small part of your enormous endeavor. Though I may disagree with the design concepts, I agree that we must rebuild. May God enable us to create an awe inspiring tribute to the victims and their loved ones!!!

Our country’s approach to the WTC site is fundamental flawed. The terrorists only objective is to instill terror in the living hopeing to create a shift in public policy. By leaving two gigantic voids in lower Manhattan we have played directly into the terrorist hands. Posters of “Reflecting Absence” will hang in every al-Qaeda cave as a monument to their success. In defiance of the terrorists we should create a Memorial that celebrates the lives of those lost instead of morn. Bottom line – I believe those we lost on September 11th are looking down on us hoping we stand tall and build something to inspire fellow New Yorkers and the World.

The WTC Memorial looks like one designed by Bin-Laden, not by an American. Two holes in lieu of two majestic towers are exactly what he wished.

The entire 16-acre site should be developed above ground into a true 9/11 Memorial with the Twin Towers and their plaza as its centerpiece, and below ground into a 9/11 Museum and Mausoleums holding the unidentified remains.

A beautiful park with benches shaded by trees around pools of water reflecting the names of those who perished should cover the entire site at the base of new Memorial Twin Towers risen from their ashes in the memory of those who perished inside, and a new Memorial Austin Tobin Plaza built in the memory of those who jumped from the inferno above.

Every little corner of the towers and every square inch of the plaza are full of memories belonging not only to the loved ones, but to our nation’s history as well. This is the site of an event that changed the course of history. If we can rebuild the spaces where 3000 innocent Americans spent their last moments of their life, we definitely should.

Moreover, prior to September 11, the towers were the signatures of Manhattan’s skyline for over 30 years, complementing the statue of Liberty, standing tall by it as the proof of prosperity in a free society. We must rebuild the towers, not one, not five, but two, with their magical power of reflecting the ever changing sky, from sunrise to sunset.

The hope of America lies not in suburban sprawl, but in building tall. Let’s reach to the skies for inspiration. Innovative engineers stand ready to answer any challenge. Give us the chance and we’ll give greatness. Rebuild the Twin Towers taller!
