Yes, we need to rebuild the Twin Towers larger than ever to show the rest of the world that the United States and NYC will not cower and run when our way of life is threatened, albeit by terrorists or any other faction. We will re-build and we will re-live the positive energies that the twin towers in NYC represent…

I come from a generation that never lived a day with the Towers standing. My generation doesn’t know the void that is the absence of those towers. There is no greater gift to our enemies foreign and domestic than to accept defeat and not rebuild. That’s why I say rebuild. And there is no greater gift to the next generation of American adults than to restore the greatest symbol of American engagement in the global market this country ever knew.

I WANT THOSE TOWERS BACK. I CRY EVERYDAY KNOWING THEY’RE NOT THERE. Its not the same. I go to nyc and look at the 1 world trade center and say to myself rebuild the towers. They will always be the best. Never forget 9/11. Do the right thing. I saw it happen people jumping it was scary. I helped someone out myself. A couple people actually. It’s so sad knowing that we have to relive 9/11 and flash the lights in the sky. PLEASE REBUILD THEM. BRING NYC BACK TO LIFE. Please guys never forget 9/11. Build the twin towers STRONGER TALLER AND BETTER WHERE THEY USED TO BE. Destroy the fountains and build our amazing twin towers. Please do the right thing. I just don’t feel right knowing that some politic government idiots got the best of us.

I was only 7 when the towers were attacked, but since I was a kid I always wanted to live in NYC, but as I’ve visited the city in recent years, the skyline looks weak. I never saw the towers in person. While I do understand why they’re not building them exactly as they were, after all the old towers were dated, they needed new safety features to prevent such a tragedy from happening again, but the new site just doesn’t look like New York. Rebuild new twin towers, taller and stronger than before, otherwise the terrorists got what they wanted.

It’s simple, we have never backed down from any challenge, may it be at war or peace. We have fought a race to space, we fight for equal rights, we fight for the freedoms of other nations. So should we fight to take back that what was taken? Simply, yes.

The american security has tightened after those attacks on the World Trade Centers. Osama Bin Laden’s dead and his fellow men will not survive without him. This fight to rebuild the Twin Towers should go ahead and shall go on for the people of America, tourists, and in memory of the families mostly. These new Towers are atrocious to the scenery of the Lower Manhattan Skyline. I can see it’s in memory of the families, and the people who died but just rebuild the twin towers because we could rethink to build it with security, safety and reassurance that these attacks will not happen again. Back in 2001 the security was loose, relaxed and not thought about. But today the world has become stronger and united over the years and become more solid.

A house is just a house and a Christian is supposed to just turn the other cheek, and forgive and love your enemies if you expect GOD to forgive and love you. WHAT HURTS IS THAT THE REAL REASON THE TOWERS AREN’T ALREADY REBUILT BIGGER AND BETTER IS… AS ALWAYS… MONEY. It’s SAD. Take a long look at a dollar bill. Some glory seeking lawyer will eventually get “IN GOD WE TRUST” removed. In greed we trust would fit nicely, but the world already knows, and it’s cheaper to do nothing. I’m glad and proud to have served when I was young and IGNORANT. GREED has led us all down the wrong path and doing the RIGHT thing only occurs when it’s AFFORDABLE.

TTA Note: Greed certainly has played a big part in taking Ground Zero in the wrong direction. But in terms of the actual construction, spectacular, cutting edge Twin Towers was always the most affordable and practical solution. No question about that.

We rebuilt the Pentagon as it was, New York should be no different. All the excuses for not rebuilding better Twin Towers were lame, and say to the world that terrorists won that round.

I think the twin towers should be rebuilt, same design but taller. This will show the world that America will prevail and we stand together strong. I pray for all the families of the victims, and I pray that the right decision is made when rebuilding ground zero.

My name is Beau and when I grow up I want to be a US Army green beret. My father was in the army and I want to give my life for my country. I love my country with all my heart and mind almost as much as God. I wish to be able to take my kid to the top and tell him that is what I fought for.

We need to honor the memories of the victims, but also the sacrifices made by the thousands of military heroes since this abhorrent act. Let’s stand tall in this valiant effort to rebuild the towers in the grandeur they deserve.

  • signature permalink Mikal Elder * 9/11/2011

Rebuild the Twin Towers alongside a proper memorial on the Super Block of the World Trade Center. Anything less dishonors those who died on 9/11 and those who have died defending it since and will be viewed as a sign of weakness and decline to our enemies and the world.

I’m glad to see “the committee” has designed a stunning memorial to the innocent people murdered on 9/11. I’m 100% supportive of that effort. But the symbolic intent of the attack was to challenge the foundation and fabric of our nation as a whole and the structure(s) that follow the twin towers should surpass the grandeur of the original Twin Towers. I really like the design and look of One World Trade Center but the tall single tower on the New York Skyline just falls well short of the real “strength” of the original Twin Towers. The greatest generation of WWII would have had a twin towers complex rebuilt by now, much taller than the two they replaced. I’m ashamed to say that the new complex design is embarrassingly inadequate and

Rebuild them. They’re icons for New York, for America, and for the world. To build anything else is absolutely disgraceful and disgusting to all of us who remember that day. The people want to return to the original, not some appalling design, to make them feel better. Rebuild them, rebuild them, rebuild them.

  • signature permalink David Hamm * 6/20/2011

I watched the towers fall on live TV. I served overseas in Baghdad in ’04. The towers need to be built better than ever before. The terrorists need to know that America has the persiverance to overcome whatever happens to us. REBUILD the towers!!! They need to be better than the might they had before.

  • signature permalink PVT Phillip Weaver 12/19/2010

    Rebuild. Rebuild. Rebuild.

  • signature permalink Gary Lilly 11/5/2010

I respectfully suggest that we rebuild the original towers with one exception: tower one should rise nine stories taller; tower two should rise eleven stories taller. What better tribute than to follow the will of the people, especially those most affected by this devastating event? As I see it, if we do not rebuild the twin towers, then the terrorists, indeed, have won. Rebuilding the twin towers (with the noted suggestion) to their original glory would convey absolute strength and resolve. It is the right thing to do! It is the just path to take. Godspeed.

Thousands of troops have died and suffered life changing injuries since the 9/11 attack, we owe it to these heroes and to the 9/11 victims and their families to support this movement to rebuild the Twin Towers. They should be built BIGGER, STRONGER, and BETTER.

I am absolutely certain that a great number of Americans would be glad to donate their talents, time, and money to rebuild the towers.

Let us put our energy together, let us show the world that the American can do spirit is alive.

Brooklyn Born. Towers were there my whole life. Its how I knew I was home. My family and I were lucky, I had requested extended time for leave but was denied due to manning, so we left on our flights Sept 8th. The plan was to take the family to the top of the WTC and look down at the world from its observation deck. When the towers came down I was on duty again, I knew I would never be truly home again. Put them up. That’s the only real way to be American. When you’re down get up!

It’s simple! Build what ALL Americans want which is the Twin Towers 2 and with that also make it the tallest structure in the World!!! Then when those peice of scum terrorists see what we did, it’ll show how we are not afraid and even if we are sucker punched we will carry on. God Bless America!

As a former New Jersey resident and a Marine that was in boot camp on Sept. 11, I didn’t see what happened live that day. Every time I drive back home to see my family from Mass. I look across the river and it just doesn’t look right. The towers need to be rebuilt. It needs to look the way it did. I want the skyline back to the way it was.

I, like so many others, joined the U.S. Marine Corps because of what happened on 9/11. We fought/are fighting the forces responsible for that tragic day, and in the process, many more American lives have been sacrificed. We owe it to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We owe it to the people of New York. We owe it to ourselves as Americans as a symbol of our strength and undying spirit. Please rebuild the towers and show the world that when we get knocked down, we come back stronger than ever.

I do not like the idea of the single tower 1 WTC. This other 2 tower Plan looks amazing and it shows we are not intimidated by the terrorists. The buildings are great and it would be an honor to have them.
    Good luck!
