I honestly don’t understand those behind the rebuilding process at Ground Zero. Are they blind to what the people want? Most New Yorkers would actually prefer the Twin Towers be rebuilt, including myself. It makes no sense to simply forfeit to the enemy, build a depressing memorial nobody likes, and build a series of out of place towers around it. My uncle worked there and he is outraged by the Freedom Tower. “Unfeasible” my foot. That sad excuse for progress needs to be taken down right now.

i would like and be greatfull for the new and improved twin towers 2. somewhere in all my cousins, one was taken. From the first plain that crashed in to the first tower to be hit. her name was cristine barbuto. we never met before but if the new towers went up i would go in the bulding and and get p.e.a.c.e and prayers out in a better way, and not at two swiming pools. AND A FREEDOM TOWER. that is unacceptable for us as americans. please rebuild, mark barbuto jr

I lost my uncle, a.k.a my best friend’s (my cousin’s) dad. Any way to show that we could rebound from this, i support, and that is to rebuild the towers!

God Bless the men and women whose lives were lost on that fateful day. God Bless America

I lost my cousin and dear friend in the 9/11 attacks. There is no doubt in my mind that he would’ve wanted them back taller and stronger. It’s been said a million times over but there is good reason for that… anything BUT the new and improved Twin Towers shows the terrorists (and the world) that we aren’t the people we once were when this wonderful country began.

Danny, you are always in our hearts and minds.

Please rebuild the twin towers, it is the best idea for ground zero yet. The freedom tower design is ugly and defeatist.

  • signature permalink Brigid Colhoun 3/25/2009

My father died in the Twin Towers, and I would love for the Towers to be the way they were. I have recently done a persuasive essay to put a park in the area instead of the Freedom Tower. Although I have a few opposing views, I am with you all the way.

I lost my husband in the WTC attacks in NYC. His name was Israel Pabon and he was a loving husband and dedicated father to our to beautiful daughters. the hardest part for me at this point is that he can’t be here to enjoy them with me, to see them grow, simply miss all that they have acheived in the young lives and was not here to be a part of that. Israel died and to this moment I miss him as much now as when it all happened. My strength was and is our children.

New York City will not be the same without the towers they should have a similar design at least to represent the towers

My uncle, Joseph Vilardo, died in the 9/11 attacks. He would want the towers back and better than ever! The people that died that day wouldn’t want remorse…they would want their deaths to have STOOD FOR SOMETHING! Anything less than what they were would be a disgrace to the people of New York and those that gave their lives for our freedom. Put them back!

  • signature permalink Nicco Godinez * 9/12/2008

We need to build the twin towers agian to show that we stand strong. We can’t build the freedom tower its like an empty skeleton.

  • signature permalink Oscar Sanchez Jr 9/11/2008

Let’s build the towers again and show the World NY is back.

  • signature permalink Harrison Kirby * 9/11/2008

rebuild the towers why put up the freedom tower? Isn’t that just one of the many things that the towers symblized? Put them back exactly how they were. My parents both would have been dead now if they hadn’t of been so lucky. Withdraw troops and blow up every country Osama Bin Laden is “supposed” to be in. Stop being chickens and get back at them for all the people we knew and loved.

There is no better way to heal the New York skyline & the hearts of America and to honor & reflect the memories of all the victims that were lost on 9/11. Rebuild the towers in their original form. (Jeffrey D.Bittner R.I.P.)

IN MY OPINION, THE TWIN TOWERS SHOULD BE RECONSTRUCTED. THAT WOULD BE ANOTHER WAY TO REMEMBER OUR LOSSES AND HEROES, THEY STOOD UP ONCE AND SHOULD STAND UP FOR EVER.

As a 9/11 Family I say build the Towers again and one extra floor. It is clear sharia has infiltrated America and many Americans have already forgotten 9/11. Thank God for the United States Military! They KNOW what they are fighting for. Since the murder of our loved one “Bill” life has never been the same. I have watched as Islamist continue to advance their agenda of “the caliphate” (global domination). What will it take for Americans to wake up? Islamist/sharia is HERE. Please see it.

Our towers need to be rebuilt as they were…only one floor taller as a show of bravado…..
oh, and perhaps OBL’s head on a pike at the top.
    That would be perfect.

We’ve got to start being a politically-incorrect country. Our enemies view us as weak and timid. We have to develop a strategy of winning this war. I will not permit my son to fight a war to win the “hearts and minds” of middle eastern fanatics.

I will support a plan to win.

I urge our President to put us on the path of victory. If he does not, we can’t defeat this enemy. Nothing President Bush says will convince us otherwise. We want a plan to win.

My close family friend Jackie was killed in the towers please rebuild them as the should be! Not as politicians want them. I looked at those towers all of my adult life and they stood for an ideal that all poeple have inherent right to exist as it wishes and still do business with others who may disagree. A small group of people disagree with that concept and think only there way of life counts! we need to show them they are wrong!

  • signature permalink ILona English 7/1/2007

We must honor all the victims of 9/11 – those we knew and all those we didn’t know. BUILD THE TOWERS – make the statement to the terrorists – WE WILL REBUILD EXACTLY WHAT YOU TOOK AWAY FROM US.

By not rebuilding, it is showing the world how weak and petty Americans can be. They do not separate us from the elites, to them we are all the same. I still get choked up as I pass that skyline almost everyday and see an empty space. How dare these elite/politicians/special intrest groups believe to know what is best. We have lost our will, the founding fathers and the greatest generation would be apalled at our apathy. This country has a severe case of ADD. Don’t let these murders be forgotten.
