Please bring the Twin Towers back. Bring back NYC!

We need the Twin Towers back! They made the city and were iconic around the world. Countless times I have dreamed of going there, or even working there. Watching them collapse was heartbreaking to the core and to see this eye aching replacement is beyond sickening! New York City is not New York City without the Twin Towers there. I know we should and will never forget the tragedy of 9/11, but putting that “freedom” tower there as a replacement is a constant reminder of the helplessness that we felt on that day. Bringing the towers back will not be a “business as usual” symbol. It is a symbol of us getting through this hard time triumphantly. It is a way of healing.
I was born in Nassau County, New York, lived in Hicksville for nine years, moved to Missouri, now I live in Indiana. And after nine years, just turned 19-and-a-half, my love for my New Yorkers and New York itself is still strong. I say rebuild it, which was one of my thoughts after they collapsed. This time with equipped defense system, and variety of exit systems. I want them to be the first thing I see when I return home.

I remember looking at the twin towers when i was a kid, and gazing in awe at what an amazing country we were, and how we could build the greatest buildings that I’ve ever seen. I was in first grade when 9/11 happened. My most vivid memory was walking out of my front door on September 12, and being hit in the face with a cloud of ash. I asked my dad if they were going to rebuild the twin towers, and he said “I hope they will. And if they do, you can take your kids there, because I was never able to take you there.” He had told me that he was going to take me soon. Long live the twin towers.

As a kid i always looked forward to going to New York City and seeing the World Trade Centers and i remember my mom taking me out of school when they were hit. It was very devastating to watch and now that i am attempting to become a police officer in New York nothing would make me happier than to see first hand the buildings going back up. :D

I would really like America’s, and most importantly, OUR Twin Towers rebuilt. They are the true symbols of freedom here in America, both for business as well as fun and excitement around lower Manhattan. They would put the happiness and beauty back into the heart of New York, and the rest of the world as well. We NEED these towers. Everyone loves them, and we all know that it is not the same without them. I am a big Twin Towers person, probably the biggest Twin Towers person there ever was. And remember one thing people, they are OURS, so let’s do it. Let’s get them back !!!

There is a need for justice, peace, and TRUE hope. We have not seen that. We are still broken..plagued with health problems, mental health problems, and feelings of fright as well as insecurity. What have we done? That is a question to continue to ask ourselves. One way to heal us is to rebuild the towers as they were to express our unity and to demonstrate to the world we are not a different people.

Landmarks should never be replaced like they never existed. Just like when the White House was burned in the War of 1812, it was rebuilt, not torn down. What we should do is begin a protest at Ground Zero. That would be showing the officals that we want new twin towers, we spent too long telling. With the protest, this issue should get more publicity, and hopefully with the public having more knowledge, we could have more supporters than we ever dreamed of. We will succeed, and rebuild The WTC.

It about time we take a stand as Americans. The Twin Towers were a symbol of Freedom through out the world. We are tought from childhood the when you get knocked down dust yourself off and get back up. Its the American way. This is why The Towers have to go back up just like a pheonix rising from the ashes. What was that famous movie that said “We’re Back” oh thats right Poltergeist.

Not rebuilding the Twin Towers is like saying we’re too scared to rebuild them. Bring them back!! They were an icon in NYC, and we’d show that we can rebuild from something like 9/11.

I think that if we were to recreate these towers, it would represent this nation’s ability to emerge from our darkest times. It is our willpower that makes these united states proud. September 11th was one of our darkest days, but we stood strong. Hopefully one day the Twin Towers will also once again stand strong.

Well the “Osama Bin Laden tower” has topped the street. This building is a friggin joke. It took almost a decade to build this atrocity. It took Dubai half of that to build the awesome Burj Khalifa. I hope you gov’t assholes enjoyed pissing my tax dollars on the al queda center. Will never visit this joke of a complex ever in my life. Rebuilding the tougher towers would have been quicker and cheaper to do.

I grew up watching these being biult, and to take away something as majestic as these would be a dismantling of american pride, heritage and courage. Not only do these towers represent america but it represents what we strive for, being the best, and to let people who hate america win over our pride is to admit that we are a nation of cowards.Lets biuld these towers up again and stronger and taller, with better measures in place,to rebiuld with better consequences.GOD BLESS AMERICA.

I think we should rebuild the amazing towers. In 2001 they were beautiful and had no good reason at all to be taken down by those stupid terrorists. I hate America is not a ligit reason for an attack. I really would like new twin towers to give us back the skyline we all love.

Rebuild the symbol of the American people. The twin towers represented truth, courage and the spirit of America. Build them to represent America again.
Listen to the voice of the people.
Rebuilding the twin towers will help heal the wounds of 9/11.
It’s our country. 9/11 broke our hearts. If we rebuild, we will have a strong economy, our spirit and THE TWIN TOWERS.

I just finished reading the Wikipedia article about what building has been chosen for the main WTC building. I said to myself, “WHAT!?” It just isn’t right to not rebuild the Twin Towers. I remember seeing the Towers from my window all the way in Woodbridge, NJ (about 2 driving hours from NYC) and think, “wow I’m so close to NYC, cool!” It was my beacon, telling me where I was, almost like a compass. It would be a shame to never see that beacon again.

This could possibly be the most patriotic thing for anyone who is an American during this time in history. To rebuild what our enemies think they have taken from us. No other buildings will look the way the Twin Towers did on the Manhattan skyline. The American people can once again have a majestic and beautiful site to see, and the deepest sense of patriotism while gazing upon the Twin Towers II.

Why isn’t this done yet? NYC just doesn’t look or feel right without the towers. I don’t want any “Freedom Towers” or any such nonsense either, just rebuild the towers exactly the way they were, straight from the original blueprints.

I’m currently living in Jersey City and every time I look beyond the Hudson River it just looks like something is missing. The Twin Towers always struck my eyes as a child. They would be the first thing I’d notice about NYC before the Empire State Building. I grew up in Essex county and even from the right elevation I was able to see the WTC. I truly miss those buildings. New York hasn’t been the same without them. I remember 9/11 perfectly and I really wish that day never happened.

Rebuilding larger twin towers should be the only option. I wholeheartedly agreed with this idea years ago when Donald Trump advocated it. There are just so many reasons and all have been expressed by many. Just please do it!

Rebuild the Twin Towers *exactly* as they were. They were an iconic part of the NY Skyline and since 9/11 have been immortalized as the most visible symbol of our strength, resilience, and determination overcome everything out adversaries would throw against us. That was how the NY Skyline was, and that is how the NY Skyline should be again.

10 year anniversary is coming up soon and nothing has been done with the site. Meanwhile, the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, is built within this time span. Enough with the bureaucracy, let’s REBUILD the site.

Not only should we rebuild the twin towers but the top two floors should be a Military base and lets put some battelship guns facing out in each direction…Show POWER to the rest of the world…
I worked downtown for many years, loved having lunch in the plaza near the Towers. In 1993 I went through the PATH station a few hours before it was bombed, and realize that the toll could have been much worse that day. A week after 9/11, I went back to the site, and like everyone else the absence of the Towers was overwhelming. I knew someone who was killed that terrible day. We can’t bring back those who were lost, but we can and should rebuild the Twin Towers.
Please bring the Twin Towers back. Bring back NYC!
