I think the original twin towers looked very cool. If we can somehow rebuilt the look of the original towers but somehow also make the structural integrity able to withstand an attack of similar proportions, then i’m sure everyone will be happy with the result. I stand with the rebuilding of the towers.

We need the Twin Towers back. I really don’t care what people would say about…we just need a petition to build it.

The Twin Towers were an Icon of our great nation. They truly showed the power and ingenuity of the American People. Rebuilding the Twin Towers would show the world that we won’t be influenced by terrorism! Most people would like to see the towers rebuilt. New York isn’t New York without the Twin Towers.

I, like most people never got to see the World Trade Center before 9/11, I believe we should rebuild the World Trade Center complex similar to what it once was. The Twins need to be rebuilt so the NYC skyline can look like it used to.

I fully believe the one way to unite the country is to rebuild. I’m all about bringing the twins back and I’ll do anything to help.

I was only two years old on the day of 9/11, and believe it or not, I can remember seeing it on tv that day. I had always been in awe at the towers, but it was not until I was in High School I did a report on them. I had to study the whole World Trade Center Complex and that is when I fell in love with the towers. It’s so sad how much people overlook about them! They were a city within a city. New York seemed to be a much happier place when they were around. I am so in love with the towers that I visit the St.Louis airport terminal, which was designed by the same architech who designed the towers. Many people say that the terminal has a similar feel to the lobby of the original towers. I was so awe struck by that. We need the towers back!

I was born 3 months after 9/11, and I never was never able to witness the beautiful towers that once rose so gallantly above the rest of Lower Manhattan. I am very interested in the Towers, and I would love to see their presence again in a new way. I want to see a similar sight that everyone in this world once saw when they visited this great country. The towers were proud symbols of our great country. If we can rebuild a similar look that New York once had, we can show the world that our country is still strong. I would love to to see two towering twins in the skyline again. If it’s possible, please listen to all of those who want to see this become reality.

Being born in 2004 I think I can speak to all born after 2001, The twin towers were what made New York New York. Thousands and practically millions of people around the world would come to see the towers. They were what defined us as Americans. It’s sad to know that We younger generations where robbed of that majestic sight. Now I look at the freedom tower and feel disappointed. It’s sad looking and just not the WORLD TRADE CENTER. Yes it may be taller but how are you gonna compare 1 tower to 2? The freedom tower was built and it just looks sad all the time. A constant stab reminding you of what happened. So please with a desperate cry, do what is right and rebuild the twin towers! Make New York great again!

I was born after 9/11 happened (December, 2001) so I haven’t actually had a chance to see the twin towers in real life. But, whenever I am online doing research and I see the buildings, I cry a bit because they are not there anymore and I wouldn’t be able to experience seeing them. They are the most amazing looking buildings America has by far ever had. I just have a love for the design the buildings had, with all of the columns rising all the way to the top of the building and all around them on the outside, they were the best designed ever yet. I know 99% of Americans would love to see them back, but the government thinks that we would be terrified and reminded of 9/11. If we don’t rebuild them, it just shows that the terrorists won…

I was born in a post-9/11 world, in 2002. The American spirit is just not the same. as many have stated, the twin towers were a beacon of Freedom. One world trade center is a fraud and shows the terrorists that they won. If one of the planes succeeded in hitting the white-house, we wouldn’t have built a smaller and weaker white-house. We need the towers to be rebuilt to prove America’s strength once again.

The more that time passes since 911, the more I miss our Towers and fully support the call to rebuild them. Even though the Freedom Tower is visually appealing, it lacks something…and that is the heart of America. One just has to glance at the skyline and he or she knows that it just does not feel right…something is missing. We will never feel complete or whole without our Towers in that skyline!

I was born just 2 months before the horrible tragedy of 9/11. Since I was little, I’ve always had a fascination with the old towers, but I have just recently begun to recognize their powerful influence over America. Those towers stood for something. They stood for American culture and way of life. They stood for American strength. They stood as a “Welcome home” to all hard-working contributing immigrants who came here. They stood for a proud, prosperous, free nation. They were (in my opinion) the greatest symbol of America. Even the flag, which I also hold near and dear to my heart, does not even come close to how powerful the image of these towers is. That is why it is my life goal to rebuild them. You WILL see these towers again someday.

I always draw out the twin towers when I was much younger, I’m now 27 years young. The point I’m trying to make is I don’t know too much about architecture etc, but “The World Trade Center” made New York City skyline almost as if you we’re coming to the city and they were welcoming you. Please! Please! Please rebuild the Twin Towers. That’s the true definition of make America great again. P.S. I’ve never seen the old ones in person! Since the USA on lockdown if you were to make the twin towers again at least you don’t have to worry about terrorisom anymore.

  • signature permalink Michael Smith * 10/19/2018

The Twin Towers were the most impressive pieces of architecture of the 20th century. I never got the chance to ever visit them in person. I finally made it to New York nine years too late. It sure seems to me though, that rebuilding the same two towers is really the only way for us to really give the middle finger to the motherfuckers responsible for 9/11….

I was 25 when the towers fell. Watched the day unfold live on TV, like so many others. The NYC skyline feels empty without the towers. It’s as if the soul of NYC was ripped away. Indeed, America’s soul. The towers were not just a symbol of NYC, but a symbol of America. I can only liken the symbolism to the pyramids in Egypt. Imagine Egypt without the great pyramids. That’s NYC, that’s America without the towers. They certainly don’t have to be in the same general area as the originals, but they should be built. America needs it’s identity back. Our pride back. I haven’t been to NYC in a long time for pleasure, but would certainly return often if the towers were rebuilt just to witness them.

How does one reply but to say BRING THE TOWERS BACK. When I think of NEW YORK CITY my mind goes directly to the TWIN TOWERS and the skyline I’m so used to seeing. It seems naked without the towers. Most people remember the Twin Towers more then any other building. PRESIDENT TRUMP HELP BRING BACK THE TWIN TOWERS. We need this. It’s what New Yorkers want. It’s what America Needs.

  • signature permalink Justin Argones 9/20/2018

Rebuilding the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center is something that should have been done in the first place. Not only would it have restored the skyline of New York City, it would have also been a much bolder message to send about America’s strength and resilience. (Ironically in a MUCH more powerful manner than One World Trade Center) For whatever reason that has not happened. Some might say rebuilding the Twin Towers would be in poor taste, but for me and the rest of the people who signed this petition, it’s the perfect way to honor those who died on 9/11. With modernized and stronger Twin Towers being the perfect memorial.

Building the towers back in the skyline would make a huge statement of american pride and strength. I say if we cant get Port Authority to do it we take this fight to the white house and to the true new yorker in the white house who can do something about it.

The Twin Towers would be symbolic for everyone and I would want to see these towers be rebuilt again because it would show that no matter what comes into Americas path we will all ways overcome it.

The Twin Towers should be rebuilt. The people who are responsible for their attack have won as long as the towers remain in the past. There would not be a more fitting memorial for the victims of that day to see the towers rise again and be the symbol for America of freedom and resiliency to overcome the darkest of days. I was only 7 when 9/11/2001 occurred I to this day am memorized by those towers and was cheated out of being able to visit them. I was at the site for the first time this year and wished I would have gotten to see them. Do the right thing for New York and America Rebuild The Twin Towers

  • signature permalink Shane Keena 7/12/2018

Ideally there would be two feet for every person who died that day as the height of the main faces of the new Twin Towers. They deserve to be rebuilt with modern and ancient technologies being integrated better than ever, it is only fair to New York City to rebuild better than before. That is why there must solely be additional safety precautions.

    1. Post-Tensioned Concrete poured into each exterior column and floor plate, so planes can’t just come and slice through the building.
    2. Tunneled Fulton and Greenwich Streets under the plaza, providing major access points through which to access the World Trade Center.
    3. New Carbon Fiber Elevator Cables, which promise to vastly extend the distance between sky lobbies.

We need to restore lower Manhattan. Every era has their symbol in New York City. The Twin Towers were a symbol of the late 20th century and its contribution to New York. The Empire State was a symbol of the early 20th century. Right now we have a gap in New York and we need to hurry and rebuild the twin towers. The majority of people born after 1991 do not care about restoring the towers so we must act quick because slowly but surely those that remember the towers will be gone some day. ΨΨΨ REBUILD!

Too Late… I was born almost one year after the towers fell. Knowing what my fellow Americans went through, nothing would fill me with more pride than to see the Lower Manhattan skyline restored to its former glory.

We particularly appreciate this comment because it highlights a pervasive misunderstanding, which our new home page will clearly expose.

Rebuild the Twin Towers. Need I say more? The only buildings that belong back on Ground Zero are the Twin Towers. It’s the only proper choice. America deserves the Twin Towers as a rebirth of its dedication to world peace. It needs a symbol that can express the American spirit better than a thousand words. Make the World Trade Center the same soulful place it was 20 years ago. Rebuild the Twin Towers. Make a positive difference in America.

I was born in 2001, I never got to see the Twin Towers :( WE NEED TO REBUILD THEM, WE NEED TO REBUILD THEM!! The original WTC was a very grand symbol for NYC and the United States of America. They were well known across the world! The towers were beautiful and really defined the NYC skyline. If we don’t rebuild them, the terrorists win. Let’s say your mom died, and then they say “she died, but here’s a new, different one!” IT’S NOT THE SAME. If we build them stronger & safer, it will show the world we will ALWAYS heal from the ashes and come back stronger than ever…WE ARE AMERICA. Imagine if they are rebuilt—it would have a TREMENDOUS amount of tourism! My life will be complete when they are rebuilt, I WANT TO SEE THESE BUI

I was born after the 9/11 attacks, and I didn’t know what had happened until I was around 5-6. I remember for the first time watching the Disney film Oliver and Company. It started with a great establishing shot of New York. That was the first time I’d ever seen them before, all I had known about NY was the Empire State Building. I thought they were coolest things in the world, idk why. So later on I caught a movie or an episode of a TV show on cable, idk what it was but it featured the Twin Towers. I hadn’t seen them in a live action film before and it blew my mind, I fell in love with them. Anyway, later I told my mother about how I wanted to go to NY and see them, which is when I learned about 9/11. I wanted to see them all my life.

Our beloved twin towers were the most iconic of New York City. By leaving them in the past, you are knowingly allowing our enemies to claim victory. Ridding this planet Osama’s disgusting presence wasn’t enough. We want our Twin Towers back! Nothing, especially not the new, inferior to the original, “One World Trade Center” will ever be capable of replacing our glorious towers. Time will never heal those wounds. Sixteen years is far too long of a wait! Only the rebirth of our beloved towers will heal those soars. Hear our demands, and do as we the people desire! Give us back our towers and reintroduce the people of New York City with the greatest sense of pride, honor, and dignity that only their beloved twin towers were capable of giving.

Even though I was only two when it happened, as a freedom-loving patriotic American, I look at what happened on 9/11 as an attack on the United States by those whose goal was to destroy these symbols of our economic prosperity, crush the American spirit, and destroy our way of life. If we go ahead with the current plan and continue to build these new odd buildings over where these symbols once stood, instead of rebuilding the original structures bigger and better and stronger than ever, then the terrorists and those who sought to destroy these symbols will win, and they will have succeeded in accomplishing their primary goal, which is something as Americans we cannot accept or allow. Rebuild the original towers.

I was born in ’95 and never got to go see them, I never even new they existed until I clicked on a 9/11 memorial video at 13 years old and was horrified! I fully expected them to be rebuilt but they where not inset an ugly giant tombstone was erected as a statement piece for the corporations rather then try to recover from what happened!
