I’m terribly sorry that I never got a chance to see the twin towers in person and the terrorists (Bush and co.), have succeeded in bringing them down for their oil profits in Iraq and Afghanistan and they have stripped us of our freedom, rights, and all together way of life. To not rebuild the towers is in my mind not even an option. 1 wtc! WTF we need 1 and 2 wtc and I don’t mean twin freedom towers. Not rebuilding the towers is a 100% victory for those who brought them down! Btw, we aren’t free.

TTA Note: We used to remove politically slanted comments to keep the focus where it belongs and to discourage people from treating this petition as a right/left bulletin board. But now, all we edit out is inflammatory hate speech. The rest speaks for itself.

Right now, as it stands, the terrorists have won. They’ve effectively struck fear into us enough that the government will not allow these towers to be rebuilt. Why on Earth should we give the terrorists what they desire? We must respond with strength and resilience, and the most effective way of doing so is rebuilding the WTC exactly as it was before. This would not only show the terrorists that we’re not afraid of them and their threats, but it would best heal the wounds of those who had established those two towers as a symbol of American freedom and might. No other symbol can represent this feeling better. I believe rebuilding as it was is the only thing left we can do to make sure the 3000 people slain on that day did not die in vain.

It’s simple, really. If they want to rebuild the Twin Towers, just put the North Tower in the north pool, and the south in the south pool. It would also be nice if they added the Mariott hotel again. #RebuildtheTwinTowers

I look up at those towers on old pictures and realize that they may never come back. I for one really do not like that idea.

we do need to rebuild the twin towers because this new ‘freedom tower’ is nothing more then a glass stick we need our skyline back to the way it was.

New York is a home a way from home. I’d love to see some twin towers the next time I “go home.”
I don’t want to see a great big piece of glass sticking out of the ground.

REBUILD AND REMEMBER: The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were amazing steel structures and angelic dominants of the New York skyline. On 9/11, two jets struck the World Trade Center.
Both towers collapsed. 3,000 people died.
The best way to commemorate these beautiful towers is to rebuild them, made of concrete and taller and safer. A memorial is ideal and vital, but some people never got to see the twin towers. More than half of AMERICA wants them to arise from the ashes. Do what the people want. Rebuild the towers. Even though it’s already April 2015 and 1 World Trade Center opened 5 months ago, we will not give up in pursuing and fulfilling our dreams. Rebuild and Remember.

I was in the 5th grade when 9/11 happened, it was very unreal even to this day I’m still in shock that it actually happened. The twin towers stood for what this country represented. The best thing that needs to happen is rebuild the towers.

I am a 15 year old kid who went on a trip with my family to New York City in 2001 and although I dont remember my mom has a picture of me on top of the south towers observation deck. I Love the new One world trade center and im an architectural fanatic and like the new 3wtc design too but I believe we need 2 1400 foot relics in the new york skyline so i can have a moment in history no one can take from me.

The twin towers must be rebuilt!!!
When I was two years old, I got to go up the twin towers. However, I do not remember that experience, and I want to relive that experience again. That can only be achieved if the twin towers are rebuilt. If we do rebuild the twin towers, we can tell the terrorists that they cannot defeat us. If they knock them we, we will build them right back up. Rebuilding the twin towers is the only way we can truly defeat the terrorists in our hearts.

the twin towers are an America symbol of strength that told the world we can over come anything we must rebuild! NEVER FORGET!!!!

I was with most people my age when it happened (I’m 15), and even though I’ve only been to NYC once (2006), to a lot of people way before 9/11, those towers meant something. The Freedom Tower and the other new towers in my opinion are unsatisfying and it shows that the terrorists won in a way. Hopefully in the near future, if Towers 2 and 3 aren’t built, we will see the Towers rise again.

i was a kid when 9/11 happened and i had no idea what the twin towers were until i got older and did some research of my own. i never got to experience going to the twin towers myself nor did i ever remember them when i was growing up. the twin freedom towers need to be a reality, so that i can experience the towers that i never went to and for others who never got the chance to go see the original towers, and remember what they were.

i want to see the Twin Freedom Towers become a reality. so please make this happen!

I not only say I wish the twin towers were rebuilt or claim that they need to be rebuilt without backing those words up with actions. I’ve honestly never been to them nor did I even know what 9/11 was when it happened because of course I was young but oddly enough, I’m somehow attached to them ever since seeing pics of them & movies containing them in recent years as I’m now older to realize their significance. When we say rebuild, we don’t necessarily mean using the same outdated materials that were put into the original twins that led to their collapse. The twin towers rebuilding plan will ensure far more updated technology just as they used into the new one world trade center. The design features will meet modern standards in every as

Until there are twin towers hovering over the skyline of New York, we are defeated. Every time I see a period movie or re-broadcast of a period sitcom with the original twin towers in the background, I am sickened to my stomach. I believe every American will rest much better when, once again, we can look upon the skyline of New York City and see what we expect to see. The Freedom Tower simply cannot fill the void. Once might as well attempt to replace the Statue of Liberty with an obelisk.

I completely agree with the push to rebuild the World Trade Center. However I don’t like the design that is currently being implemented. I personally believe if we rebuild the World Trade Center of New York we need to do it the right way and the only right way I see are the Twin Towers. They stood as symbols of American Pride, American Culture and American Power. Now with them wiped out, New York just doesn’t look the same. I was only a child when September 11th occurred but there is to me something about the Twin Towers that evokes the majesty and beauty of what we can do. The Twin Towers may never stand again physically, but they will always stand spiritually in our hearts.

The Twin Towers of the World Trade Center are a major facet of retro pop culture, & should be rebuilt, especially since most older buildings that are demolished are not as fortunate. So many buildings in recent & distant history have been lost to either destruction, or the owner’s ignorance or negligence, leading to them being razed. It is awesome that some relics of the original Twin Towers are being preserved at the 9/11 Museum & Memorial, but since rebuilding them is possible, I think this would be a great opportunity to resurrect the Twin Towers, & further increase the already increasing gratitude & appreciation for the towers.

I was born the same year the twin towers were built 1971. I never got the opportunity to go in them but did see them from the air. I have always been fascinated with them and even more so now that this has gone by us. I would honorably walk in and being afraid of heights, go all the way to the top upon completion and be proud to say, I not only accomplished this dream, but got to see what once was and now is the landmark that should be… The new one world trade center is beautiful, but not what we(I) want… Please rebuild them…..

I can just say I wish I had the opportunity to visit the Twin Towers. They were so beautiful in their own unique way and people in high places need to realize that rebuilding the Twin Towers would certainly help heal a huge scar that still exists in every corner of the world today. Hopefully in my lifetime the towers will be rebuilt right where they once were.

I was young when this tragedy happened, but old enough to know what was going on. It affected me greatly and my heart and prayers go out for the familes that lost loved ones and close ones. I think that the towers should be rebuilt but stronger and higher. I myself would have loved to see the towers. I know now how special they were. Rebuild them!! I truly believe it will show that we are stronger and it would heal:) thank you and God Bless!

The freedom tower is a symbol of the governments freedom from popular opinion. it is a disgusting sight that honors no one. I believe the people who died that day would want us to rebuild bigger, better and stronger twin towers to show we will not be broken as a nation. They wouldn’t want four abominations to stand in the place of two symbols.

I was born in 1996, which means the towers fell when I was five. I was in Kindergarten at the time. Thus, I and millions of others grew up in what is called a post 9/11 era. I’ve never been to New York. I never got to see them, I hadn’t even heard of them yet. And so those terrorists have robbed me of a life with these beauties in the New York sky. I will never stand in the North or South towers of the WTC. But one decision from the birocrats in New York can change that, for all of us. Have you seen the movie Moonstruck? In it, we see this gorgeous moon (part of the story) and an old man comes into a plaza bathed in moonlight and out in the distance stand the twin towers, huge, tall, and comforting. It’s moving, and the Freedom Tower ju

The twin towers are our american icon &we can’t just replace them with a retarded mediocre tower that only makes us feel worse that terrorists destroyed our landmarks forever. We should rebuild and show that the landmarks that fell long ago are rising up from the dead, and being reborn, in defiance of terrorism, of what happened that horrible day. You definitely got my vote.

I WANT THOSE TOWERS BACK! Even though I was in my adolescent years and never actually saw the towers, I look at pictures of them on the interweb. I think, “freedom tower? there’s only one tower and the majority of it’s gonna be office space..” You guys got my signature.

I want the twin towers to be rebuilt because I never got to see them. The towers should be built on the waterfall footprints. The names of those who have died on February,26,1993 and September,11,2001 in both tower lobbies. The towers will give more office space for those who want to work in them. It will give people a chance to see what the towers were like before 9/11. New York needs to have its twin towers back in the skyline.

The United States of America should never give in to fear that allows the terrorists to decide our skylines. We are a very proud and courageous country and the American Dream resonates very strong throughout this world. The Twin Towers were a brilliant beacon of our message realised. This symbol of American Spirit should not perish due to fear and worry.

Although I was only six years old at the time of their destruction, the image of the Towers has had an almost hypnotic effect on me. The Freedom Tower fails to inspire the same feeling of wonder and awe the Twin Towers did.

the new tower and upcoming surrounding structures are horrible eyesores that show the terrorists won and america is evil and greedy. reconstruction would have spit in the face of terror, and inspired america in its time of sorrow. from 2008 and onward, i have NOT been proud to be an american, because of our government making us look like weak greedy pretentious liberal douchbags.
