As I walked over the 59th street bridge leaving Manhattan on 9/11/01 I looked at the smoke that was the World Trade Center and thought we’ll be determined & rebuild. The thought of not putting them back up is unimaginable to me.
Don’t let them take away our famous skyline! Then they really have made a difference besides taking all of those lives. We must do this to show they haven’t won. Rebuild the Twin Towers!

The World Trade Center IS one of the biggest and greatest landmarks in New York and in United States history.

The Port Authority is stupid for trying to reshape Manhattan’s famous skyline with something so pointless as the Freedom Tower, or as “THEIR” so called One World Trade Center, which is a huge slap in the face to the Twin Towers, for frauding the North Tower’s original name.

I can’t believe I found this site! This was my fierce belief on that terrible day – that they should be put right back up! Not only do they belong there, they’d be two extended middle fingers to those who thought they could bring America down with the Towers. Every other design I’ve seen has been a hideous atrocity. I worked in Lower Manhattan as they were going up, friends and family members worked there and/or were first responders. NY deserves to have its Twin Towers BACK!

TTA Note: The opponents of new Twin Towers have used disinformation, misinformation, and above all, NON-information to enforce their agenda. The most defining tragedy in our lives has been hijacked by an arrogant, self-serving few. The term “un-American” gets used much too much, but it is so correct here.

I think the current plan is CRIMINAL because it is robbing not only the people of New York, but the people of the United States of America of that signature of our country’s success. To all of you Government officials who we elected freely to office should start standing for what we elected for in the first place. Enough with wasting our taxpayer money on a flawed and hideous design. It’s time you put your political agendas aside and start working for the people. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS!

I was on the fence about this issue until I saw Ward last night. To call the Twin Towers nothing more than Real Estate was low and offensive and I’ve had enough! He slithered his way out of answering the demands of 9/11 families and the NYFD/PD. I’m now sickened by their plan and what it ‘stands’ for. 20 or 30 years from now we’ll look at the once mighty Twins in photos etc. and go “why didn’t we just rebuild”? I’m 100% behind you guys now!

Why was it the Towers they wanted destroyed? The answer is obvious. They stood as a symbol of American principals, culture and achievements. So why is it so difficult for us to defy these murderous thieves and put those Towers right back up again? As an American patriot there is no other option and no better response. In your face Al-Qaida!!! RESTORE OUR MAGNIFICENT SKYLINE for all the world to see!!! Take pride in our heritage and our accomplishments. Let no one take them from US.

We need to rebuild bigger and better. When someone dies it is impossible to bring them back to life, but we are given a unique opportunity to do just that in this case, bring the Twin Towers back to life instead of being haunted by their absence.

I never saw the towers. But if or when they are rebuilt, I will somday. Anyway, I hate the Libenskind’s plan, it is just ugly. If you want hear someone who really hates it, try listening to Donald Trump. I saw the Gardner/Belton plan called Twin Towers 2 , and I really liked it. If or when it is rebuilt I will pay a visit, or maybe even stay in the Hotel on the complex. Also if it is going to be rebuilt, someday my future engineering company Typhoon engineerings will become a tenent. Rebuild now.

It should not be too late, rebuild the Twin Towers taller and stronger as a symbol of American strength, courage and resolve.

I miss those towers so much. They bring back so many memories in the years before that terrible tragedy. They must be rebuilt because they will inspire us amercians in these tough times ro take an extra step. I can’t wait to step into the new towers. I was 6 when 9/11 happened and I would love to see the new wtc twin towers.

  • signature permalink Brian Wedekind 11/16/2008

Even though i wasn’t one of those people that had residents in the towers,i am one of those people that think there should be another wtc for everyone to enjoy. This is could be a start of something new. the towers could be more indestuctable and be more aware with cameras in and outside the buildings with one on every side. This could prevent another freak accident and people could be more prepared for something that might happen again. The memory of the towers should not end!!!!

We cannot allow the freedom tower to undermine the great people of America. The Twins will eventually become forgotten if they dont return. As many have said as
I say the day the freedom tower is cancelled and the Twins begin there ascent will be the happiest day for me and America in awhile. I hope Paterson and Ward get a copy of the booklet and WAKE UP!

The strongest statement we can make, not just as New Yorkers, but as Americans is to erect two more towers. Make them taller and out of the strongest, most perfect materials we have and place whatever memorials to those who perished inside. Let’s show the enemy the strength of our economy, society, and way of life outwardly and memorialize those lost within the walls of the two greatest buildings in the free world.

    greetings from Nutley, NJ.

I used to live in Manhattan for 3 years from 1994-1997. i was born in 1992. the last time I revisted the REAL WTC Twin Towers was in December 2000, and I want to revist the complex standing ontop the Twin towers II! not a necropolis like “Freedom Tower”. The REAL, TRUE freedom towers are the twin towers and i too want them to build the Twin Towers II BIGGER, BETTER STRONGER! WE WANT TO SHOW AL QUEDA THAT WERE NOT WEAK AND THAT WE WILL KICK THEIR FU**ING A**

  • signature permalink Dan the Man 9/29/2008

Just imagine in your mind…The Twin Towers rising up the Two Towers rising up in the NY skyline. The spirits of Ny’ers and Americans and citizens of the world alike watching it get bigger, better, and safer day by day. Then laughing cuz terror wont be able to stop it or bring them down cuz we will strive to protect these buildings and the people who work there!

  • signature permalink Robert Greenwood 9/27/2008

One freedom Tower will always look like half a job done – a monument to weakness, greed and political corruption and a submission to terrorism. Build two! No Brainer. Rebuild the New Skyline bigger and better than ever for the world to see and literally look up to. You could even have the upper floors atriums that becomes a monument and they are always lit 24/7/365

Whats a better memorial than a bigger, better set of TWIN towers? Build THEM, not it.

  • signature permalink Marianna Maietta 9/16/2008

I was born in NJ and now I am a New Yorker, when I was little I used to walk the streets and stare up in complete amazement of the two strong twins and two stronger better twins would restore NY and the world. We need two towers.

  • signature permalink Andy Maietta 9/16/2008

Bring the Twin Towers back. Not only does it restore the amazing skyline, and leave a lasting rememberance to the fallen, it will show the world that our resolve as a nation is one!! To rebuild and grow stronger!!! Not replace with a weak understated facsimile!!

  • signature permalink Anthony Della Rossa Jr. 9/15/2008

Make the skyline whole again! Allow our memories of those we lost to last forever as we gaze at that wonderful view in remembrance of them. Those buildings are the only thing we can bring back :-(

I remember going to the top of the Twin Towers and marvelling at the spectacular view of the city that stands for America – bring that view back for all – God bless America!

  • signature permalink Joseph DeFrancesco 9/12/2008

Rebuilding should have been the only option for the start. . . Freedom Tower LOOKS nice, but it’s not the same, or the thing we need.

  • signature permalink Anthony Romano 9/11/2008

I’ve been saying this from the start. Rebuilding the Twin Towers is the only logical and emotional answer. If we really intend to show the world our strength, then we need to ditch the current plan, which is simply 21st century eye candy and self indulgent bravado. And the fact that they want to charge admission to the memorial is a disgrace. This abomination should be filed where it belongs: the city dump! Bring Back The Towers!!

As a former NYC couple, and friends who greive along with many others, we truly want to bring back what was our city’s glory….the Twin Towers!! We believe in going forward and not looking back, not allowing the terrorists to claim what is ours, they shall never have our city!! Never shall they have our hearts, minds or our souls and least of all our homes and the things we treasure, our freedoms. God bless everyone who continues to sign this petition to reconstruct the Twin Towers, AMEN!

The twin towers must be rebuilt. The best memorial to those who were lost is rebuilding what was there. Not to mention, we rebuilt the Pentagon as it was, why should towers be any different?

Rebuild them now, just like they were or bigger even. It is time to do what everyone knows must be done, bring them Back. None of this Freedom Tower nonsense. Show the bastards that we can pick ourselves right back up from the ashes no matter what gets thrown at us. It would signify that we can come back just as strong as we were before if not stronger.

To whom it may concern, Its been almost 7 years and we still have nothing to show for where the twin towers once stood. The freedom tower sounds nice, but I here it has serious design flaws, and I think it sends a message to the terroists that were afraid to rebuild the twin towers. What better way to show the world, the super power we really our by re-building the twin towers, and make them taller, and stronger. This will truly show that, “WE WILL NEVER FORGET”

  • signature permalink Steven Rios * 7/17/2008

    Rebuild it!
The Twin Towers II is what we need!
    Forget The Freedom Towers.
    That’s a compromise!
It’s like getting knocked down and “kneeling” in submission to The Terrorist!

    Build them stronger!

    Build them taller!

    Build them!

Like 2 middle fingers aimed at Terrorism!
