From 9-12-2001 until present day this idea has been on my mind. The pentagon was not changed after the attacks on 9-11. If the Towers were left standing they would not have been torn down and a “Freedom Tower” built in its place. The Towers are an icon not just a building. Ladies and Gentlemen this is the United States of America. We do it bigger, better, stronger, and faster than anyone else. Lets make that known by our actions and not just idle chatter.

They built the Empire State building in a year. We need to rebuild the Twin Towers, perhaps the same as they were, but stronger and with no such weakness as in the original design. And we need to do it… now

Freedom’s Ring…
Cast down… shackled… dark, dank.
Alone…yearning, for a glimmer of light.
Vivid images racing, tormenting.
Shattered dreams of freedom,
suffering,hopeless despair;
Liberty”s light, beckons the patriots spirit.
If, only to hold..a single ray.
Grappling for life..the light of freedom.
Vanquishing the bonds of captivity;
Bursting forth, grasping the light… dreams.
Never too relinquish, guarded vigilantly.
Basking in freedoms light…
Your life,shackles,

The twin towers were obviously one of the most, if not the most, iconic features of New York City. They were the fusion of beauty, prestige, and simplicity. One great way to send a statement of American resolve against the fear and plight of terrorism would be to rebuild the very thing the terrorists took away. To rebuild the towers would not only restore a powerful symbol of New York, but send a clear message that our people and our country can and will rebuild anything our enemies destroy.

To hell with the absurd Fear Tower! If we were still a serious country the Twin Towers would be up at 150 STORIES!
Sadly, we are no longer a serious country.

I believe that they should be rebuilt the same way that they were before…and stronger! Nothing would raise more American pride after such a tragic and disheartening event then to prove how united and strong we are.
every one is still in my prayers. i am so glad they made the monument.they may try to hurt us ( our country or our military) but we are still the LAND OF THE FREE. GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

NYC must rebuild the towers… I have lost too many friends and family members to 9/11, they would want them rebuilt. My family has many memories of the twin towers so we want them rebuilt just the way they were.
Thank you

they should have been completed already.footprints preserved with new towers at reverse locations next to the original footprints serving as memorials.at least call that freedom thing the world trade center. it’s almost like the planners were happy they came down so now they could fix all that was wrong with the old sight,restore streets,improve transit,reduce windy conditions.come on.they never were supposed to come down.we should have put them respectfully back up.

Building anything that is not similar to the original WTC is shamefull, misses the mark, and almost equates to being Anti-American in my book. Let those architects design new projects elsewhere, but not here. Would they have totally changed the Statue of Liberty also? The WTC should have been declared a national monument on that horrific day, and all of these non sense feeble designs would have been avoided. HELLO GOVERMENT, CITY OFFICIALS AND ALL OTHERS INVOLVED : Put the WTC back up and lets move on!

Skyscrapers will always be targets. But, if tall buildings are again to be built on this site, then simply the best way to honor those who were lost… would be to replace what never should have been taken. Please, rebuild the twin towers – higher, stronger – better! It is absolutely the morally right thing to do.

I will always remember New York as the way it was, with two tall towers dominating the skyline. It made me feel like I was home. Now when I look at New York…all I think of is what the media likes to call “the post 9/11 world”. I say lets change things from becoming a “Post 9/11 world” with the fear tower…I mean freedom tower. Make it the way they should be with the original towers standing tall…not with one single tower called the freedom tower. REBUILD THE TWIN TOWERS! NOT THE FEAR TOWER!

I was lucky enough to experience eating on the highest floor of the twin towers, and to stand on the roof of the other one. Just two months before this happened. I thank God with all my heart that I got to experience this and get pictures before they were gone. No other building will ever take the place of these towers. Screw the Empire State building. I want the twin towers back, there is no greater way to show how strong we are! SAME HEIGHT, SAME DESIGN! Justin P!

Rebuild The TOWERS. Make them bigger and better so that they are reminiscent of the NY skyline of old but slightly more “magnified” and “more magnificent” than before. JHR
I have always loved the sight of the Twin Towers. I go to school in Downtown Brooklyn and I am always looking towards Lower Manhattan and not seeing the Twin Towers. I always imagine them still being there. I don’t want to imagine anymore. I want to see the real thing. Rebuild the Twin Towers!!!!
The Towers were an icon and such a familiar and beloved profile of the cityscape, much like the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. They can ONLY be rebuilt — never replaced.

money and politics should not desecrate this holy, tragic, honorable, day of infamy, site. the towers should return, bigger, safer and without costs considerations. bring back the towers, dont replace it with some cheap fancy buildings.

i believe the twin towers should be rebuilt as in when you’re knocked down yu get up again to show your strength and determination not to retreat to any sort of evil. if it was the statue of liberty there would no question it would be replaced why not the twin towers. they say they would never rent the high floors i say build it 75% for office space and the top floors for storage space or make it a non occupied restriced area but keep the height the same. TTA Note: There would be no need to leave the top floors empty. There would be more takers to work there than could fit on the top floors.

Rebuilding the twin towers is the only real way to send the message to the bastards that destroyed them that they cannot topple America! We MUST rise from the ashes like the phoenix and show the world that we will not be taken down. Build them one story taller and put a memorial on the top floor, closest to heaven. I think that the victims would want it that way, and the majority of Americans want it that way. The Pentagon has been rebuilt. Let’s do the same with New York! God Bless America!!!!
